Pre-K3 through 12, the students of Saint Stephen’s benefit from a globally aware, highly academic education, safe within a well established community of life-long learners and their families. Students who are accepted at Saint Stephen’s connect with a student ambassador to help them in their transition, a faculty advisor and a diverse, inclusive community of people who welcome and help them along the way.

Application Process At a Glance

  1. Visit – Individual appointments for a visit may be made via the Admissions Office.
  2. Apply – The application process begins when we receive the completed application and application fee of $100. Official transcripts, letters of recommendation, writing samples, and a student questionnaire are required where applicable. We recommend students entering Pre-Kindergarten 3 be age three (3) by June 1 of entry year.
  3. Test – Upon receipt of the application materials, school will arrange applicant testing date. Testing begins in January.
  4. Enroll – Enrollment contracts are sent beginning February 1 and must be returned with a reservation fee of $1,000 for your first child, $500 per additional child by March 1. Applicants accepted after February 1 will have 10 days to return the signed contract and reservation fee.

Important Dates & Reminders

Applications are accepted year round; we recommend all applications to be complete by May 15 of the enrollment year.

As early as possible Submit completed application, official transcripts, letters of recommendation

January 2012 Testing begins.

February 1, 2012 Enrollment contracts begin to go out.Students admitted February 1 must return contracts with reservation fee by March 1.Students admitted after March 1must return contracts within 10 days of receipt.

March 1, 2012 Enrollment contracts due for students admitted February 1.Financial Aid requests due via FAST.

Administrative Evaluation – Completed by current or most recent Head of School, Principal, or other administrator in charge of student records and returned directly to Saint Stephen’s.

Classroom Teacher Evaluation – Completed by current or most recent classroom teacher and submitted directly to Saint Stephen’s.

English Teacher Evaluation – Completed by current or most recent English instructor.  Returned directly to Saint Stephen’s.

Math Teacher Evaluation – Completed by current or most recent Math instructor.  Returned directly to Saint Stephen’s.

Submit two writing samples – one should be a graded composition submitted to a classroom teacher; the other should be an essay of approximately one typewritten page addressing the question “If you become a student at Saint Stephen’s, what strengths, talents, and skills will you contribute to our community?”
