Graduation Requirements
22 credits are required for graduation, distributed as follows:
Graduation Distinctions
Arts Conservatory
Students demonstrate exceptional interest and proficiency in the visual arts, completing at least four visual arts classes with at least one at the Honors or AP level. They participate in workshops as part of their arts classes and have artwork displayed in school and community shows.
Capstone Scholars
Students complete a rigorous application process demonstrating readiness for college-level interdisciplinary research. Accepted students write a literature review, design a year-long research project, coordinate with a professional mentor, complete their project, and present results at RISE.
Global Scholars
Students create a portfolio showcasing cross-cultural work across their Upper School years. Requires globally-focused electives, 30 hours of program-related community service, participation in a school exchange as host or visitor, and demonstrated global leadership through extracurriculars. Experiences are shared at RISE at the end of senior year.
Ocean Academy
Students complete three years of marine science study and demonstrate academic and research excellence through an original, year-long, student-designed and -executed marine science project, presenting a poster and paper at RISE.
