School Divisions

GRADES 9–12

Upper School.

Academic Blueprint

All Upper School classes are taught at the college preparatory, honors or AP level. The curriculum is designed to be hands-on and help students find personal topics they are curious and passionate about. The advisory program creates close bonds as a small group of students spend all four years of their journey together guided by a faculty advisor who gets to know them and their families well. Beginning freshman year, teachers, advisors, administrators and college counselors guide students toward individual, comprehensive four-year plans based on their abilities and interests.

GRADES 7–8

Middle School.

Inquiry and Rigor

Middle School provides an experience that nurtures every student academically, socially, and emotionally. They're inspired to explore their passions, not just in core subjects, but through a wide array of innovative offerings. This isn't just about learning; it's about discovering what ignites curiosity. The curriculum is thoughtfully crafted to prepare, encourage, motivate, and guide students, setting a foundation for their college prep experience in the Upper School.

GRADES 4–6

Intermediate School.

Bridging Capabilities

The Intermediate School serves as a crucial bridge during a period of rapid academic and personal growth. Within a supportive and nurturing environment where individual growth is the goal, we guide students on a journey toward greater independence. By cultivating key executive functioning skills, we seek to build confident, joyful learners who feel empowered to advocate for themselves.

PRE-K3 – GRADE 3

Lower School.

Nurturing Foundations

Lower School emphasizes foundational skills and hands-on discovery in a highly supportive environment with small class sizes.

Signature Programs

One school, four distinct journeys! At Saint Stephen's, we constantly seek to produce innovative lines of study that stimulate an intellectual curiosity of the world around us. Students at all grade levels are introduced to programs that are distinctively Saint Stephen’s and reach beyond the classroom walls into real-world applications.

Interim Quest

For one week each year the normal schedule is cleared: students head off campus for experiential learning, community service, and class trips — near and far.

College Counseling

Your college search is a journey, not a transaction. A highly personalized, four-year counseling timeline starts in Grade nine and guides each student to find his or her best-fit university.

Our team of experienced counselors work individually with each student to build balanced lists, prepare applications, and connect with university representatives from across the country.

The small class sizes allow our children the one-on-one interaction with teachers and faculty that truly care about preparing each student for the future. I know that my children will be more than prepared for college upon graduation!

Center for Academic Success

Individualized support, study skill mentorship, and learning strategies help every student reach their full potential.

Our Center for Academic Success provides resources for time management, executive function training, and structured peer tutoring to ensure every student feels supported and equipped to succeed.

Saint Stephen's is deeply relational, premised on the core belief that a love of learning and a fundamental sense of integrity stem from students being seen and feeling encouraged to stretch themselves academically, athletically, and artistically.

Summer Program

The school year doesn’t have to end in May. Summer at Saint Stephen’s extends the same campus — and the same spirit of hands-on discovery — into camps, courses, and enrichment for every age.
