Saint Stephen’s Students Debut International Magazine

Twenty-three students at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School have worked in conjunction with students around the globe to launch a multi-language, international, student magazine for high schools and colleges. View Scholastic translates articles on such topics as culture, current events, technology, architecture, politics, and fashion into various languages. The first issue includes articles in Mandarin, French, Spanish and Latin. Each article is translated into English.

The Saint Stephen’s students worked with students in Guilin, China; Bogota, Columbia; and Paris, France to write and translate the articles. “My personal Lithuanian background, journalistic experiences interviewing people around the globe, and the international diversity of the students at Saint Stephen’s all inspired me to start this magazine,” Founder/Editor-in-Chief/Publisher, Aiste Zalepuga, said of View Scholastic. Aiste is currently the Editor-in-Chief, a title which will pass to Sunny Jin and Jennifer Sundstrom next year when Aiste is in her first year at Yale University. Aiste will, however, still be involved with the magazine, helping to bring it to the broader collegiate audience.
