Welcome Message from the Head of School  Welcome to the Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School Web site on which you can easily explore the outstanding educational opportunities and the wonderful extracurricular experiences Saint Stephen’s has to offer our students in grades PK3 – 12.
As you peruse the different sections on our Web site you will meet our talented students engaged in many of the exciting programs and initiatives that we offer, such as our AP course work or our bands/strings program, our Atlas Initiative program or our Marine Science Initiative, to name a few. I hope you will navigate through our virtual tour to “see” our 35-acre campus which includes state-of-the-art academic classroom buildings, a dock on the McLewis Bayou, beautifully manicured sports fields, and a secure and safe gated campus. You may also wish to view our photo and video galleries to learn about the many events, activities, and programs we put on during the course of the school year. Small classes provide our students the opportunity to gain a new-found confidence, to think critically and globally, to express themselves, and to develop good study habits and organizational skills. Saint Stephen’s is proud of its rich academic offerings that go hand-in-hand with a strong college counseling program, a wide variety of competitive sports teams, a creative fine arts program, many service learning opportunities, and weekly chapels that allow for individual spiritual growth. We are the “neighborhood” school for our families who come from a 30-mile radius. The “family” atmosphere helps build friendships between students in all four divisions and creates an environment where our dynamic faculty can impact each student’s daily experience.
