Wayne C. Rickert Founding Fathers Wall of History

Wayne C. Rickert Founding Fathers Wall of HistoryUpon entering the Sunlight Middle School, students, faculty and visitors take a step back in time, as they are greeted by one of the most unique features of the Saint Stephen’s campus. This extraordinary collection of landmark American documents is known as the “Wayne C. Rickert Founding Fathers Wall of History”.

Wayne C. Rickert, a loyal supporter and generous benefactor of Saint Stephen’s, made a commitment to educating young men and women, and provided both funding and source material for the project.

This special, educational wall contains reproductions of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution, as well as a library of personal letters written by historic figures which reflect the thoughts and beliefs of our nation’s founding fathers.

The documents are displayed on a striking backdrop of three murals which stretch across the entire width of the lobby. The center mural depicts an unfurled American flag. It’s flanked on one size by a life size depiction of General George Washington crossing the Delaware River during the Revolutionary War and on the other America’s Founding Fathers gathered at Philadelphia’s Independence Hall on the other.

Saint Stephen’s is proud to share this exceptional resource with the community beyond our campus gates. Interested schools and community organizations from Manatee County, Sarasota County, and beyond have already enjoyed the Founding Fathers Wall of History experience.
