The parents at Saint Stephen’s work together to provide the children with fun-filled activities, special events, and unique opportunities that enhance the academic program at the School. As automatic members of the Parents’ Association we seek your support, as we work together to enhance the daily lives of our children. If you are interested in volunteering please contact our Director of Parent Volunteers, Jennifer Sabo.
The mission of the Parents’ Association is to motivate and coordinate a parent volunteer force, to develop and maintain lines of communication between the parent body and the administration, faculty and board of trustees, and to uphold the philosophy and support the activities of Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School.
Welcome to the Saint Stephen’s Parents’ Association! My name is Veronica Van Dyke, and I am honored to serve as your president this year.
This is our family’s 11th year at Saint Stephen’s. My boys, Josh and Noah, started in Kindergarten and Fledglings and are now 10th and 8th graders. Whew! The time has flown by. We have now experienced all of the four divisions of Saint Stephen’s. I have worn many volunteer hats during our time at the school, filling roles from Chairing the Falcon 5K to Backstage Coordinator for the All School Musical. I have also been a long-standing volunteer in our lunchroom and served as a New Family Liaison for the Middle School, among other things.
Outside of school, I have run marathons, participated in Ragnar (a rather insane group road race), and won several trail races. I am the head geek for my husband’s and my leadership consulting firm and on the side, I run an organic co-op. I am firmly committed to the belief that sleep is overrated. But I am passionate about and committed to everything that I do.
When we first toured the school twelve years ago, we were impressed by the school’s academics, but truly overwhelmed by the sense of community and family that is evident in every aspect of Saint Stephen’s. It is my goal as president to ensure that all of you have that same experience! But in order to TRULY experience all that Saint Stephen’s has to offer, you have to get involved!
The Parents’ Association is made up of each and every one of YOU. The Parents. And I implore you to get involved, because WE NEED YOU. Whether you can volunteer two hours per year or two hours per week, find your niche and volunteer!
On behalf of our Parents’ Association, Thank you! I look forward to seeing and working with each and every one of you.
