The school library is integral to and supportive of the school curriculum, and provides a mechanism for exploration beyond the prescribed course of study. The Saint Stephen’s library program provides a wide range of resources and information that satisfy the educational needs and interests of students. The library program supports the curriculum by providing materials and services to all faculty and students. Extensive additions continually occur in all areas of the collection: fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, newspapers, and audiovisual holdings. Requests are encouraged and are added to the collection whenever possible. The library subscribes to online databases and catalogs useful websites; online materials supplement the print collections. They extend the library into classrooms and homes, and they provide immediate access to accurate and authoritative information on a variety of subjects. The mission of the school library media program is to ensure that students and faculty are effective users of ideas and information.
