Community Thrift Shop - Plenty of opportunities exist at the Community Thrift Shop! Help is needed with pricing, placing and straightening store merchandise, sales and check out. Proceeds directly benefit Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School. Donations and shoppers needed, too!

Cookie Corps - This is an ongoing activity that begins the day school starts. Volunteers bake prepared cookie dough in the lunchroom every morning from 8:30 a.m. until about 10:00a.m. The freshly baked cookies are then sold to the students through the lunch program. Cookies may also be ordered for special occasions.

Faculty Appreciation - In appreciation of the faculty, two luncheons are planned a year. Volunteer duties vary by month and may include decorations, food preparation, set-up, serving and clean-up.

Falcon 5K Run - The Falcon 5K Run (February) is a community event that fun for the entire family. Walk, run, or jog...we want every family there!

 

Volunteer opportunities include:

Family Connections - The Family Connections Committee was formed to respond to our families, faculty and administration in times of need. Volunteers are needed to provide meals and/or assist with meal deliveries or family needs.

 

Assist with coordination of meals for families in need, when necessary.

Game Changers Event - This event is held in late January and is geared for the sports fan! The evening will host a nationally known guest speaker, dinner and auction. Assistance is needed with invitations, decorations, registration, set-up and clean-up.

Grand Gala - The Gala (Nov. 14) is the Parents’ Association’s signature event, providing funding for many of Saint Stephen’s Signature Programs, as well as items and services for the School that might not other-wise be funded. This event, should not be missed!

Grandparents’ Day (November 18) - Grandparents, both local and out of state, will be mailed invitations to join their grandchild(ren) on November 20 for a special morning of refreshments and fun. This is a wonderful opportunity for the students to display their accomplishments. Assistance is needed with invitations, staffing day of event, set-up, decorations, registration, refreshment tables, photography stations, clean-up, etc.

Library Committee - This committee provides ongoing assistance with shelving and filing in the library. It also provides staffing support for the book fairs held each year in December and March.

Lunchroom - The lunch program offers a varied menu each day of the school week, and it takes many, many volunteers to make this program run efficiently. A weekly commitment is preferred.

Working in the lunchroom or lunch limo, serving pre-ordered lunches to students (10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.)

Performing Arts - Numerous productions are held throughout the year, including the Musicals in the spring and the Sunset Serenade.

Photocopy - Teachers and staff in all four divisions need ongoing assistance with photocopying, laminating, and/or cutting and collating tests, worksheets and programs. Volunteer once a week for approximately 1-2 hours.

Photography - If you are passionate about photography, we’d love your assistance! Saint Stephen’s hosts many activities, events and programs and needs individuals to help document these events through photography.

Room Parent Committees - The responsibilities of Room Parent will vary from division to division. They include but are not limited to: Hospitality - assisting with classroom or grade level parties, providing refreshments for conferences, exam days and special events; Activities - assisting teachers with classroom activities and special projects as needed (LS/IS), assisting the administrative assistants and class advisors with special events and fundraising activities (MS/US); Special Events - assisting committee chairs with special events including the Grand Gala and Falcon 5K Run (all divisions); Communications: communi-cating school needs to parents (all divisions).

Spring Fling - This all school event is held in early March, on school grounds. The whole family is invited to come out for complimentary food, fun and fellowship.
